Independance

I wanted to draw the whole scene in more detail, but this is probably as far as I'm going to get with it
I always loved this scene because Bella is so in control, so grown up, so independant. People always say Twilight is about the importance of having a boyfriend - it isn't. It's about becoming who you are meant to be and protecting your family, and that is exactly what this scene symbolizes. 

This is the way I remembered her outfit (oyster coloured cocktail dress in silky fabric and a beige raincoat) from the book.
